Cafe hygge in Issum

Super tasty and such a super uncomplicated ordering process. You can pay with PayPal 🤩 Delivery on time and unproblematic. No 0815 food but totally creative. Definitely deserves 5 stars!

We have already been able to enjoy the good food in the dining room in the Hygge to the fullest with a motorhome dinner and are thrilled. Great, tasty dishes, well cooked and nicely presented. Only fresh ingredients are used. Very good price-performance ratio. The service is very friendly and attentive. Keep it up, we'd love to come back.

We went to the hygge for the first time yesterday. We have made it a tradition to eat out or to get food on Sundays. The Hygge currently has "Schnitzel Day" on Sunday We had the Wiener and the Bernaise once. There was also fried potatoes. Actually wanted fries but unfortunately they were out due to the rush. The fried potatoes weren't just made on it, but you were asked very kindly whether that was OK. A clear plus point. The fried potatoes were the better decision, but more on that later. There was also a small side salad. We had pre-ordered the schnitzel. That just makes sense. So you don't have to wait forever and the kitchen knows how to plan. Especially in the current situation, this is the better way for everyone involved. Because who wants to wait outside longer in winter? I had my meal 5 minutes later so everything was in a perfect time frame. Now to the dishes: Viennese kind: ========= The schnitzel was breaded well and had a nice golden crust with light bubbles. The good thing is as it should be, swam and was not fried to death without fat. And hand on heart, who wants to count calories when you eat schnitzel :-) Bernaise: ======== As mentioned above, the schnitzel was perfect. The sauce was delicious. I don't know whether this was made by myself or whether it is a high-quality industrial gastro product, which is completely OK, because ne Bernaise is not made that way and certainly more an insider tip sauce than an integral part of food culture in the Lower Rhine region :-) But as I said, I found it very tasty. The fried potatoes: =============== What unsavory garbage have I got. Greasy, sticky, sloppy and I don't know what other words I can find ... but not in the hygge. Lick O Fanni, crispy, crispy, tasty and damn well seasoned with bacon, onions and parsley, if I'm not mistaken. The bacon is subtle, just flavor enhancing and nice and crispy, a few fine onions and spices. Yes, nothing more is needed. Please, please stay with this quality. The fries: ========= It should be but it was over, which was a good thing. Maybe I will be able to taste them when the fried potatoes are out because of their good reputation ;-) The side salad: ================ Not the simple iceberg lettuce, no, a delicious mixture of various green salads, plus a little paprika in delicious thin strips, cucumber, tomato and onion. In addition there is a delicious dressing, where I would have the option to purchase this to refine my salads even in summer. Hollywood: ========= Since I like to eat mushrooms with a schnitzel and my beloved Bernaise with it, I once asked if this would be possible. It was said to be no problem. That's how I got really awesome, delicious fried mushrooms with my schnitzel. These weren't cut so thinly that you had to ask yourself, foil or food, but nice bite-sized pieces. Others: ========= What is particularly noticeable in the ToGo: the sauces are packed separately, the potato products not with the schnitzel, but also in their own packaging, just like the salad. The packaging is not made of plastic, but of sustainable raw materials. It's really great that they make sure that they do something for the environment. Top keep it up. I'm also looking forward to a time when the restaurateurs are allowed to reopen and you can eat in house. The hygge looks cozy with great lighting that adds atmosphere. CONCLUSION: ===== Great gastronomy, with honest, good cuisine and great staff. If it stays that way, then the Hygge in Issum will become an institution where people like to go out and simply enjoy good food.

Just ordered there and I can only say we are thrilled. It tasted great and was great quality. We will definitely order again.

Well-known, great ambience, very original selection of dishes, typical Lower Rhine cuisine, would have been my grandma's favorite restaurant, it is mine.

A really great selection of food and drinks. The Lower Rhine specialties are particularly worth mentioning, as you don't see something like this on every menu! The food is excellent: great taste! Nicely presented and the portion sizes are reasonable too. The service is very nice, friendly and helpful. The ambience is modern, but still cozy. Conclusion: Here we will certainly be found as guests more often.

Issum service, you can't call that, you need a lot of patience before you are served, no what they want to drink, after you've finally got the menu it takes a long time until someone comes. GUESTS are not taken care of, OVERALL BAD service. The meal lasted what felt like an eternity, so between arrival and Essensercice 1.5 hours, this was then partially cold. ........ overall no recommendation

Great café, with a great breakfast and cake selection. The coffee specialties are great. Also highly recommended with a dog. The service is great and very nice. You don't have to wait too long. We would love to come back

A very cozy cafe on the edge of Issum. The decor is very cozy. Especially the ceiling lighting looks futuristic but gives off a cozy light. The selection of food and drinks is not overloaded and everything is fresh and served in very good quality. The icing on the cake is the addition of very friendly staff. In summary: definitely worth a visit !!

I really liked this place. The decor is simple Scandinavian and the service is prompt as well as friendly. The breakfast choices are adequate and the portions are very generous. I will definitely be back.

The website says that they wanted to convey the feeling of sitting at home in front of the fireplace in wool socks and reading a book and I can only say that it is more than successful. Very laborious, very friendly, I would even let in an hour before opening. I found my favorite cafe in Issum.
